Arts NSW
Arts NSW is the NSW Government's arts policy and funding body and is a part of the new Communities NSW.
Arts NSW aims to foster a spirited arts and cultural environment, which values our artists and our heritage, which builds community, excites our imagination and inspires our future. Splendid was awarded an Arts NSW's Strategic Industry Development grant to co-fund the commissioning of works in 2010.
Linnaeus Education Fund
The Linnaeus Estate is set on 280 acres of coastal land just south of Byron Bay in Northern NSW. Surrounded by Nature Reserves and Marine National Park, it contains a range of natural features, including coastal dunes, rainforests, wetlands and 1.5 kilometres of beachfront.
Linnaeus is an ‘intentional community’ operating as a 150 year Trust. The Estate is privately funded and has been developed on the principles of ecologically sustainable development. Particular emphasis has been given to preserving the Estate for future generations through the principle of intergenerational equity.
The Linnaeus Trust funds and facilitates a diverse educational programme in a range of areas. It hosts residencies and stages events and performances featuring artists, musicians and professionals in other creative disciplines such as architecture and design. It also hosts a range of conferences and forums in environmental education and contemporary political issues.
The Linnaeus Estate through its Education fund is committed to supporting art, creativity, culture and education and is a proud supporter of Splendid.
